Our Approach

Consultation Led

We start every client engagement with a genuine effort to understand the organisation, sector, situational context, specific people challenges and what success might look like. We take time to understand and ask questions before making any final recommendations. We never assume we already know the answer before we consult.

Honest Diagnosis

We provide an honest assessment of where we see any challenges lie — even if that means telling a client something unexpected, or about an issue they may not want to hear. Effective diagnosis requires an honest, independent, objective discussion, not telling people what they want to hear.

Thoughtful Solutions

We develop solutions tailored to each organisation's context, culture and priorities. We never take a standard “template” approach or deliver an off-the-shelf solution. Every single client proposal is written to address the specific issues, challenges and needs of the organisation it is being developed for.

Practical Delivery

White Cube Consulting is an HR consultancy built on a breadth expertise, commercial awareness and a genuine commitment to provide the best support we can to every organisation and person we work with. Founded in Aberdeen, we are independently owned and operated. Our primary interest with every client engagement is to delivering the right end the outcome for them, not for us.

We have in depth expertise across HR consultancy, leadership and management development, recruitment and selection, psychometric assessment, organisational development and career transition support.

We hold professional qualifications and accreditations across a range of validated psychometric tools and maintain our professional development and sector knowledge through ongoing practice, training and industry engagement.

Co-founder, Campbell Urquhart, has been Managing Director of White Cube Consulting since 2006, developing a reputation for honest advice, practical delivery and a genuine commitment to the organisations and people we work with.

White Cube Consulting is supported by a network of experienced associates who bring depth and breadth of expertise across all of our service areas.

Where We Work

The business was founded in Aberdeen, Scotland. From our base there, we work with organisations throughout Scotland including Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness, and across the United Kingdom.

We have also delivered arrange of projects internationally, gaining experience supporting clients across seventeen different countries in Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia.
